The Tenth Day of Christmas Music: The King’s Singers

One of the CDs that my parents always play while decorating our house for Christmas is The King’s Singers album A Little Christmas Music. My parents are big classical music fans and this was always the first CD to be played before my more juvenile tastes (check back tomorrow…) took over. If you like it, you can find all the tracks on YouTube, but here are two of my favorites.

The first, Ríu Ríu Chíu, is a Spanish carol.

The second, the title track, is a take on Mozart’s A Little Night Music, all gussied up for Christmas. The opera singer is Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, who, you’ll agree, is all sorts of fabulous.

This weekend is my parents’ annual Christmas Party. I’m sure that at some point, the King’s Singers will be playing!
